COVID-19 Safety at Access Equestrian

What are we doing to keep you safe?
Picture

Safety Comes First

All staff have been fully vaccinated.
Volunteers, riders and visitors are asked not to enter the barn if they are feeling ill.
Seating areas, bathrooms and high touch surfaces are sanitized regularly.
Sanitizer is available at all entrances/exits into the barn. All visitors are encouraged to use.
All riding equipment is cleaned and sanitized after each rider.

Access Equestrian enforced COVID guidelines
As Directed by New York State Governor, Andrew Cuomo
Per current CDC guidelines, when outdoors, when all persons are vaccinated, masks are not required. In all other cases, masks are worn by staff and clients.

Riders must wear a mask upon arrival, during the unmounted portion of their lesson and while mounting their horse. At the discretion of the instructor, riders may remove their mask while on horseback during their lesson. They must wear their mask for dismount and until they exit the property.

All lessons must be scheduled in advance. We do not allow for drop-in lessons.

To adhere to reduced capacity guidelines and to assist with proper social distancing, lessons are spaced out with no more than 3 lessons occurring in one area of the property at one time.

Once you enter the barn, you must adhere to social distancing and sanitization guidelines posted throughout the barn.

Health and Safety Policy

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING
The health and safety of our staff, volunteers, riders and visitors is our top priority. We have implemented several measures that you will see at the barn which are each designed to protect Access Equestrian guests and employees from potential exposure to the COVID-19 virus (“Coronavirus”), by minimizing contacts, promoting social distancing and increasing sanitation throughout the barn.

In addition, to further protect the health and safety of our guests and staff, you will not be allowed to enter the barn if within the past fourteen (14) days you have:
  • Tested positive or have been deemed presumptively positive with the Coronavirus.
  • Sought testing to determine whether you might have the Coronavirus, and have not yet received the results.
  • Been informed that you may have been exposed to Coronavirus or learned that you have been in the immediate vicinity of a person now known to have been carrying the Coronavirus, unless you have a negative test result 5 days after potential exposure with no symptoms.
  • Experienced any of the following symptoms commonly associated with the Coronavirus, including cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, OR two or more of any of the following: fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.
Access Equestrian reserves the right to modify these requirements on a case-by-case basis to accommodate any circumstance that in Access Equestrian's sole discretion warrants a modification to this policy.

Access Equestrian cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to Coronavirus during your visit. The CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from Coronavirus. Guests should evaluate their own risk in determining whether to attend. People who show no symptoms can spread Coronavirus if they are infected, any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to Coronavirus. By coming to the barn, you acknowledge and agree that you assume these inherent risks associated with attendance.

If at any time Access Equestrian determines that a guest does not meet the criteria outlined in this policy, Access Equestrian reserves the right to refuse entry or, if the guest is already on property, immediately remove the guest from the barn with no refunds given. These actions are at the sole discretion of Access Equestrian.

By entering the barn you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to abide by this policy. If you have any questions, or if you do not understand the policy, please speak with a staff member or send us a message to: [email protected]
